About Speedi
Origin, values, and mission
"Speedi" was established in early March of 2025, by an African American couple based out of Elizabeth, New Jersey. Together, they come with years of experience in transportation, as well as customer service. "Speedi" represents efficiency, reliability, and integrity. Our purpose is to provide fast, exceptional services while committed to honesty and integrity to build a strong form of trust with our customers.

Elick I. Blondell, born and raised in New Jersey, comes from a family with roots in Antigua & Barbuda and Dominica. Growing up in financial struggle, Elick learned basic entrepreneurship while helping in the family business. Although initially focused on music, art, and sports, Elick's life took a turn after his family’s home went into foreclosure. He struggled with various jobs and side hustles, eventually resorting to illegal activities to make ends meet. His life changed when he became a father at 25, leading him to pursue self-education in business, finance, and personal development. Inspired by "Rich Dad Poor Dad," (a book written by Robert Kiowsaki). Elick began working as an independent contractor for a moving company, gaining valuable business experience. With this developed knowledge, and with the support of his partner Briana Threatt, he launched a delivery service company—Speedi Courier. Together they are committed to providing reliable and efficient delivery services throughout New Jersey, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Briana Threatt, the second of three siblings, was raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, by a single mother who worked tirelessly to support her family. Despite growing up in a challenging environment, Briana excelled academically, earning top grades throughout school and college as a biology major at FDU and Kean University. She also worked as
Briana Threatt, the second of three siblings, was raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, by a single mother who worked tirelessly to support her family. Despite growing up in a challenging environment, Briana excelled academically, earning top grades throughout school and college as a biology major at FDU and Kean University. She also worked as an outreach specialist for several law firms. After becoming a mother in her 20s, Briana faced the challenges of raising a child, but her strength, inspired by her mother’s resilience, kept her going. Tragically, her mother passed away from a stroke on New Year’s Day 2025, leaving Briana to navigate life on her own. This loss motivated her to take charge of her future, and with the support of her loved ones, she co-founded Speedi Courier with her partner, Elick. Combining her customer service skills and his transportation expertise, they built a successful delivery business dedicated to excellent service.
